| | This is for the Where I belong kiddies who somehow have found my blog *grin*
When
I was first approached to do this show, I was alittle hesitant. To be
with 80 students from 10 different secondary schools !!! Oh my Gawd ...
however, its Nina and Zach so onboard the train I jumped :) I only had
2 rehearsals with all of you, that's not much. Ruby asked me how I felt
working with all of you and I told her that it should be great.
Honestly speaking I felt I didn't have much in terms of acting during
the show but I do hope that I helped to lend alittle of my experience
to you guys and that I have managed to be a postive influence to you
kids *laughs*All of you being there meant that you are interested in
'acting' or theatre and thats important. To be on stage with people who
are passionate makes the experience so much richer. Admittedly all of
you are still kids and not professional actors but the heart put in to
the show does make a difference ... especially to me. There have been
times when in the local scene when 'professional' actors lose their
heart for a performance, they do their lines and movement correctly but
the X factor is missing. It is sad I feel for audiences to see a show
of low energy and lack of soul but it does happen ... this lack of
acting integrity. I'm glad that all of you manage to keep your
performances grounded and heartfelt. Thank you
SMRT
Roadshow is finally over *phew* no need for the bodyhugging red lycra
bodysuit with ant-like looking head gear superhero outfit anymore
*laughs* For those that do not know, for the past 2 weekends, I've been
transformed to Captain SMaRT for the SMRT Challenge thingy ... My
goodness, remind me never to do such roles again *sigh* but still need
to work to survive
Its been a busy with weeks *grin* as life with Andrew usually is ... |
